This remarkable fused glass pin was made by a skilled New Jersey artisan, and features layers of translucent depth and shimmer. Each piece is unique, carefully hand-crafted by cutting and layering thin glass sheets of varying colors and effects, then heating them at high temperatures in a kiln until the layers melt into a single piece. Great care is taken to heat and cool the glass at certain rates, as well as holding it for extended periods of time at different and precise temperatures to ensure that it does not crack. These beautiful glass pieces take about 15 to 20 hours in the kiln. Measures 1” in diameter. Starting bid $25.00. Free shipping.
